Subscribers and those who have purchased access to broadcasts will be able to watch our 20-21 concerts on a computer, tablet, smart phone or smart TV. All members of the household can view the broadcast on the night that it premieres or any time in the following 30 days.

HPO online concert broadcasts and talks requires the view to have access to at least one device with a wi-fi or data plan connection.

 

Watch on your computer, tablet or smart phone

  1. The HPO will provide access to our online viewing platform with your username and a temporary password. Update your password and view the concert broadcasts that you have purchased.
  2. The broadcast will become available to view on the platform on its online broadcast date. Log in to the platform at this time (or at the time you’d like to watch)
  3. Click on the performance and click play.

Smart TVs

Using TV Web Browser

  1. Navigate to the web browser application on your TV (this is the app that allows you to view websites online)
  2. Visit the HPO online viewing site (link sent via email by HPO)
  3. Log in to your account with the credentials provided by the HPO (see “Watch on your computer, tablet or smart phone” instructions above)
  4. Click on the performance and click play.

Chromecast, Roku, Amazon Fire Stick/Fire Cube or Apple TV

Many recent TV models can gain internet access through a separate, inexpensive streaming-media player. This player can be plugged into a port on your TV.

Before purchasing any of the devices below, be sure that they are compatible with your current television.

Chromecast or Chromecast Ultra

If you have a Chromecast or Chromecast Ultra, you can cast your Android phone or tablet screen using the Google Home app

Find the broadcast you have purchased and click the video to play. You should now see the video on your TV screen and be able to control the volume, pause, and switch to a full screen view.

Note that broadcasts will only be viewable after 7:30pm on the scheduled premiere date and can be watched any time in the 30 days following. Pre-concert talks will be available to view 24 hours ahead of the concert premiere.

Roku

If you have a Roku TV or a Roku streaming player, you can watch HPO talks and concert broadcasts on your TV using a smartphone, tablet or computer to “mirror” the device screen on to your TV. Find the device you are connecting with below and click the provided link for support materials to help you connect.

If you have a Fire Edition Smart TV or use an Amazon Fire Stick or TV Cube, you can mirror your screen on an Android or Apple smartphone or tablet.

If you have an Apply TV device, you can use an iPhone, iPad, iMac or MacBook to “airplay” the device screen on to your TV.

General Troubleshooting

Here are a few things to try if you are experiencing issues playing our video or casting to a television.

  1. Try opening the video in a different browser. We recommend that you try using Google Chrome or Firefox.
  2. Try opening the video on a different device. If you are experiencing issues on a phone or tablet, try opening the video on a computer or laptop.
