HAMILTON, ON—On Saturday, December 14 at 7:30PM your Hamilton Philharmonic Orchestra presents:Home for the Holidays. Join us as we celebrate our Hamilton Philharmonic Youth Orchestra and honour their 60-year legacy through the celebration of this side-by-side performance.  

At this orchestral holiday tradition, patrons will be captivated by renowned conductor, Daniel Bartholomew-Poyser, known for fostering deep connections with audiences and performers across our region. Bartholomew-Poyser has wowed Canadian orchestras from east to west including the Toronto Symphony Orchestra, Symphony Nova Scotia, Regina Symphony, the Calgary Philharmonic and Vancouver Symphony Orchestra.  Also joining us on stage will be the acclaimed Hamilton Children’s Choir, known for “providing children and youth which rich musical education and performance opportunities”, and guest dancers from the dynamic Hamilton Hip-Hop and Street Dance focused studio Defining Movement Dance

Guest conductor Bartholomew-Poyser shares, “Home for the Holidays will be an evening of familiar holiday favourites and festive fun surprises! We have traditional yuletide music from Tchaikovsky and Leroy Anderson, holiday sing-a-longs and more! The combined forces of the HPO and Hamilton Youth Orchestra, the Hamilton Children’s Choir and Defining Movement Dance will be both an incomparable spectacle and a heart-warming treat for people of all ages.”
