HAMILTON, ON—The Hamilton Philharmonic Orchestra is thrilled to announce a new program in Hamilton – SONO (Student Orchestra Night Out)!  
 
The aim of the SONO program is to increase accessibility for post-secondary students ages 18-25 from the Hamilton region to enjoy the arts in their city from an early age. Affordability is key and all SONO participants will receive a ticket sales price of only $10+HST. SONO also aims to connect students with one another and the broader community. Through SONO, we hope students will see themselves at the HPO and the arts and culture community in their city.  
 
The SONO program will kick off with our February 8 concert, HPO Performs the Music of James Bond and includes a special joint reception for our SONO audience and our 35 & Under patrons! Following the February concert, SONO events will take place two more times this season on March 22 for Pictures at an Exhibition, and on May 3 for James Ehnes plays Tchaikovsky. All of these wonderful orchestral experiences take place at 7:30PM,making them the perfect evening experience for younger patrons to build community among each other and come downtown for a night at FirstOnatrio Concert Hall.
