Biography

Bryan Deans is a dynamic conductor, composer, and music director, celebrated for his vibrant approach and passion for diverse musical styles. Born and raised in Vancouver, he is the innovative founder of the Plastic Acid Orchestra, transforming orchestral performances and enchanting audiences at events like the Vancouver International Jazz Festival and The Vogue Theatre.

With over a decade as a high school music teacher and ten years leading Arts at St. John’s School in Vancouver, Bryan is dedicated to nurturing young musical talent. Bryan enjoys working with Video Games Live, and his electrifying performances have brought video game soundtracks to life, mesmerizing audiences of all ages around the world.

Currently, Bryan serves as President and associate conductor of the West Coast Symphony and assistant conductor with the Lions Gate Sinfonia Orchestra, continuing to inspire audiences globally. From his early days studying music at the University of Victoria to his current roles, Bryan’s dedication to music and education shines brightly, captivating and inspiring all who experience his work.
