Experience the Legend of the Northern Lights with the Hamilton Philharmonic Orchestra
HAMILTON, Ontario – Today, Marz Homes announced that it has teamed up with the Hamilton Philharmonic Orchestra (HPO) to present the Marz Homes Family Concert Experience on January 30th, 2016. This day brings families together to experience a full day of hands-on musical activities and crafts, as well as an engaging one-hour concert designed for children age six and up.
Founded in 1884, the Hamilton Philharmonic Orchestra is a leader in Hamilton’s robust arts community where it provides professional orchestral services and music education programs to address the needs of the community.
The Marz Homes Family Concert Experience is a new symphony-themed interactive initiative. It features a one-hour concert, The Legend of the Northern Lights, which includes spectacular on-screen visuals to accompany the music. This brings science and music together to encourage children to explore the world around them. The Legend of the Northern Lights premiered in August 2014 in Chicago with the Grant Park Orchestra and will premiere in Canada with the Calgary Philharmonic Orchestra in November 2015. The HPO has gone beyond the stage to also offer a full day of interactive activities for children. These activities include an instrument petting zoo, found sound station, musical storytime, as well as craft and a make your own instrument stations.

We’re excited to present the Family Concert Experience as it exposes children to the arts in an interactive and fun way, plus provides a great way for families to spend time together.”
