Our 20-21 season is launching online and we’re inviting you to watch from the comfort of home! Each subscription package allows your entire household to watch HPO concerts and events on your tablet, laptop, smartphone or Smart TV.

What am I buying when I purchase an online broadcast package or single online broadcast?

Patrons gain access to view 20-21 concerts and events online on their computer, phone, tablet or smart TV, along with a number of other benefits listed on the 20-21 subscription form. While packages do not include tickets to live concerts, subscribers receive a significant discount on tickets when concerts become available to live audiences, as well as the opportunity to purchase tickets before they go on sale to the general public. Subscribers who purchase live concert tickets will keep their online broadcast access.

When and how will I access the online broadcasts?

The day prior to the online broadcast, the HPO will email subscribers with the information and password to access the concert they have purchased. Subscribers can view the broadcast on the evening when it premieres or any time in the following 30 days.

An internet connection or data plan is required to view our online broadcasts. We will provide step-by-step information for viewing our online performances on various devices at hpo.orgonlineconcerts/

Can members of my household watch the broadcast(s) at the same time on multiple devices?

Yes, household members can watch the broadcast(s) simultaneously on multiple devices (for example, two people watching on separate laptops in the same house). 

Can I re-watch the broadcast(s)?

Yes, purchasing a broadcast link or package gives your entire household access to view the concert as many times as you like within 30 days of the original premiere date.

Can I share my broadcast password with people outside of my household?

We ask patrons to please not share the broadcast password(s) we send outside of their household. Broadcast links will not be made available publicly.

We appreciate the cooperation of our community in understanding that all 20-21 online concert broadcast tickets and subscription package are not shareable between households.

Can I make exchanges?

If a concert on sale to live audiences is cancelled due to health and safety recommendations, exchanges and refunds will be offered. However, we cannot offer exchanges or refunds on online broadcast purchases.

Can I purchase my subscription in person at the HPO office?

We are not able to sell subscriptions or single broadcast access in person at this time as FirstOntario Concert Hall remains closed to the public under the direction of the City of Hamilton and building manager Global Spectrum. We ask that you consider purchasing your subscription online, or email boxoffice@hpo.org to request a subscription order form by mail.

Can I purchase my subscription by calling the HPO box office?

We are not able to sell subscriptions or single broadcast access over the phone at this time as HPO staff continues to work remotely. Our box office voicemail is checked intermittently. We ask that you consider purchasing your subscription online, or email boxoffice@hpo.org to request a subscription order form by mail.

I usually purchase tickets or a subscription for a family member or friends. Can I include this subscription in my order?

Each household only requires one subscription to view our online broadcasts. To purchase a subscription for friends or family living in another household, place a second order including the name and email of the family member or friend you would like associated with this subscription at checkout. To be sure subscriber merchandise is mailed to your family member or friend’s address, be sure to include their address as well at check out.

How will I receive my complimentary tote bag and concert program book?

Complimentary merchandise will be mailed to subscribers. We will begin mailing items in early September. 

How does pre-sale access to live concert tickets work?

When a concert can be opened to the public, those who have purchased online broadcast access will have the first opportunity to purchase tickets to the live event. A link to purchase tickets will be made available via email first to All Access Subscribers, followed by Flex 5 and then those who purchased a single link to a concert broadcast. With reduced seating available in our venues due to and safety measures, this opportunity to purchase before the public is more valuable than ever.

What will live performances look like when they return?

We are in close communication with the City and Global Spectrum, the building manager of FirstOntario Concert Hall, regarding the re-opening of concert venues. We anticipate limited and physically-distanced seating along with safety protocols that follow health guidelines for the care of our patrons, musicians and staff. We will inform you of these health and safety guidelines when tickets go on sale.

As a subscriber, will I keep my 19-20 Season seats in the 21-22 Season?

Yes, 9 and 7-Concert Package subscribers in the 19-20 Season will keep their same seats in the 21-22 Season. Due to health guidelines requiring physically-distanced seating, we cannot offer same seats when live performances become available in the 20-21 Season.

I have difficulty receiving HPO emails, or I do not receive them at all. How can I be sure I receive access to my online concert purchases?

Email client security settings can sometimes prevent our emails from arriving in your inbox. Be sure to add communications@hpo.org and boxoffice@hpo.org to your email address book. You can also check to see if our emails are landing in your Junk Mail folder (or for Gmail users, the “Promotions” tab).

If you have not received an email providing access to a concert you purchased 24hrs in advance of the concert, please email communications@hpo.org.
