School Tour
In 2023, the HPO launched its School Tour, with the goal of bringing curriculum-linked musical performances to as many students in the Greater Hamilton Area as possible. In 2023, the HPO’s Brass and Woodwind quintets performed “Let’s Dance”, a concert full of dance music from cultures around the world. The tour took us to all 13 HWDSB Secondary Schools, with invitations to all grade 7 & 8 feeder schools to attend the concert. With the support of the Music Performance Trust Fund through the Hamilton Musicians’ Guild, this inaugural tour reached over 30 schools and thousands of students.
The HPO is looking forward to collaborating with more boards and schools in years to come.
