HAMILTON, ON – Following the announcement of the Government of Ontario’s stay-at-home order beginning April 8 and lasting four weeks, the HPO will postpone the recording and broadcast of all upcoming Mainstage concerts, pre-concert talks and Talk and Tea broadcasts.
Rescheduled premiere dates for our upcoming concerts and talks will be announced in the coming weeks as we learn more about reopening guidelines. All concerts, pre-concert talks and Talk and Tea episodes will be available to view on-demand for 30 days following the rescheduled premiere date.
The Mainstage concert A New Year’s Celebration premiered on its rescheduled broadcast date of April 3 and is available for purchase and viewing until May 2.
While our concert recordings on are hold, new video performances in the HPO@Home series will be released weekly over the month of April, including videos from Principal Trumpet Michael Fedyshyn, HPO oboe and English horn player Nancy Nelson and violinists Lyssa Pelton and Suhashini Arulanandam.
