The HPO’s 16-17 Season continues with a celebration of local talent combined with the classic hits of The Beatles in A Hamilton Beatles Experience. In addition, the Marz Homes Family Concert Experience is back to bring Hamilton families together for a full-day with the symphony.

HAMILTON, ON – HPO’s A Hamilton Beatles Experience kicks off the month at FirstOntario Concert Hall (formerly FirstOntario Concert Hall (formerly Hamilton Place)) on Saturday, February 11 at 7:30pm. Celebrate the hits of The Beatles sung by Ian Thomas, Steve Strongman, Sophia Perlman and other great local Hamilton talent along with your HPO. Join us before the show for the Inside the Music: Pre-concert Talk at 6:30pm.

On Wednesday, February 15 at 7:30pm, The Gallery Series returns to the Art Gallery of Burlington. Join us for this free 60-minute concert, and experience the HPO String Trio in a unique and intimate setting.

On Thursday, February 16 at 7:30pm, join our HPO Composer-in-Residence Abigail Richardson-Schulte at Dundas Museum & Archives as she investigates classical music’s most dramatic shift in history: 1900-1960. This event is presented in partnership with the exhibition Hemlines: The Fashion (R)Evolution.

On Saturday, February 18 at 2pm, the Marz Homes Family Concert Experience returns to McIntyre Performing Arts Centre at Mohawk College. Bring your family and learn about Canada’s past and present through the music of the HPO musicians that highlights the Anglo, Franco and First Nations elements of our history. Arrive early to take part in musical activities, including the create-your-own-instrument station and instrument petting zoo. Activities start at 11am with the concert beginning at 2pm.

On Tuesday, February 28 at 2pm, join us for HPO in Burlington at the Burlington Public Library for an engaging solo performance by Principal Trumpet Michael Fedyshyn, accompanied by pianist Monique De Margerie.
