Musically Hip:  A Musical “Style” Show with Presentation and Piano Performance from the Baroque through the 19th Century, presented by the Hamilton Philharmonic Orchestra

The Dundas Museum and Archives’ fashion exhibit focuses on costumes from the 19th century.  Join HPO Composer-in-Residence, Abigail Richardson-Schulte, as she takes us on a journey of this time in music at the piano.  Hear how music changed from the baroque period, where music was based in the church or at the palace ball, to the glamorous concert stage of the classical and romantic periods.  This musical presentation will show how social and economic factors of the day impacted the type and style of music being written.
