FirstOntario Concert Hall (formerly Hamilton Place)

In this powerful musical evening, our community comes together to acknowledge Remembrance Day and Hamilton’s history. A new commission by HPO Composer-in-Residence Abigail Richardson-Schulte opens this moving concert, and our own Principal Trumpet Michael Fedyshyn steps back into the solo position in Canadian composer John Estacio’s new Trumpet Concerto, written as part of the Canada Mosaic partnership in celebration of Canada’s Sesquicentennial. Finally, your HPO presents Mozart’s grand and spiritually cleansing Requiem, as we present one of history’s most moving pieces of music and acknowledge those who have committed their lives to our country.

Arrive early and join us for the FREE Inside the Music: Pre-concert talk at 6:30pm.

Join us before the concert to sing in a pop-up performance of Mozart’s Ave Verum Corpus led by Bach Elgar Choir Music Director Alexander Cann! Click here to download the Ave Verum Corpus Choral Score
