FirstOntario Concert Hall (formerly Hamilton Place)

Music Director Gemma New hosts an evening that features the musical voices of Haydn’s world. Our own Principal Bassoon Eric Hall performs a work by Ignaz Pleyel, a contemporary of Haydn. The popular Symphony No.88, a concert favourite, offers the inventive spirit that made Haydn one of the most celebrated composers of his time. Get to know this prolific composer as we explore the man and his music during the Haydn Festival, which takes place the week before this mainstage concert.

Arrive early and join us for the FREE Inside the Music: Pre-concert talk at 6:30pm.
