HAMILTON, ON –The Hamilton Philharmonic Orchestra is proud to announce its annual fundraising event, A Worldwide Journey of Wine and Music. This exciting event takes place at The Hamilton Club on Thursday, May 7 at 6pm featuring music, food and wine from around the world.

Guests are invited to join the HPO and Hamilton Club to take a voyage through the culinary and musical landscapes of Spain, Italy, France, Germany, Argentina and Canada. Wander from room to room in the historic Hamilton Club and enjoy food and wine selections based on the specialties of each region. Throughout the night, HPO ensembles perform pieces of music featuring the unique musical styles of each country.

“After the success of last season’s gala when we celebrated James Sommerville, we’re excited to partner with the Hamilton Club to offer our supporters and patrons a new way of experiencing symphonic music, food and wine, all in support of our city’s professional orchestra,” says Executive Director Carol Kehoe.

Hamilton Club Chef Michael Vogt gives guests the sense of travel through the gastronomic delights while HPO chamber ensembles perform the works of European, South American and Canadian composers. Guests can also bid on unique experiences, like a private concert in your home or lunch for you and five friends with HPO Composer-in-Residence Abigail Richardson-Schulte as she hosts her Classical 101 talk and piano demonstration in her home.
