Master Classes

Master classes with the HPO give music students and musicians of all levels the opportunity to perform for HPO musicians and receive important feedback on musical development. Sessions are open to to players of all levels and offer helpful instruction on topics ranging from practice techniques to performance skills to instrumental technique and artistic interpretation.

Inside the Music: Pre-concert Talk Series

The HPO’s Inside the Music series offers patrons the opportunity to learn more about the music they love before attending an HPO concert. Composers, musicians, writers and professors from across the city offer patrons insights on compelling and interesting facets of the music patrons experience in concert. Inside the Music starts at 6:30pm on select concert days and is open to any ticket holder.
